President William Ruto has visited Kenyan troops deployed in Haiti for a peacekeeping mission ahead of his trip to the UN.

During his visit, the president will commend the police for their progress since the operation began 100 days ago. This visit follows the recent arrest of two gang leaders linked to Chen Mechan and Pierre’s six gangs.
Government to deploy 600 more police officers to Haiti
During the meeting, the president led a victory song to celebrate the Kenya Police’s collaborative efforts in combating the persistent violence of the gangs.
“Emmanueli ametupa ushindi … Emmanueli ametutendea … Tutapata ushindi,” the president and the police joyously sang.
How did William Ruto pray for Haiti?
After the praise song, the head of state offered a heartfelt prayer for the officers. He acknowledged their families back in Kenya and prayed for their safety.
Additionally, he requested divine protection for Haiti, pleading with God to shield the nation from evil and witchcraft.
“We pray heavenly father of this land of Haiti, for these men, women, children, and the government. As we participate in a small way, we pray that you, the author of peace, shall bring stability to this country and that they shall defeat evil people, criminals, and gangs.

As the Kenya police and other men work for the peace of this country, you will give them success, wisdom, firepower to overcome. We want to pray against witchcraft and idol worship that has strangled this land that you will release Haiti from the hands of enemy and make it a peaceful nation,” he prayed.
The prayers followed the confessions by the police about their positive results in the mission.
What progress have police made in Haiti’s mission?
The officers, along with their Haitian counterparts, recaptured Autorité Portuaire Nationale (APN), a key port in the capital, Port-au-Prince, following a fierce battle with the persistent gangs.
Barely a week ago, the Kenyan and Haitian police, in a joint effort arrested two gang leaders from Chen Mechan and Pierre six gangs.
Several towns have witnessed human activities which was not the case.
