“She had returned home for school fees and on Wednesday, after I made some payments, she went back to school. Unfortunately, the administration found her with a mobile phone during a check. They called me, and since I was far away, I sent her sister. Following their discussion, her sister returned with her, as she had been suspended for a week. She spent the night at her sister’s place, but when they woke up, Jenny was nowhere to be found,” said the disturbed father.

Before disappearing, Jenny left a letter for her elder sister, expressing remorse for her actions and stating a reluctance to return home, citing concerns for her father, uncle, and siblings.

“I have not been a good girl. I have made so many mistakes and I guess to solve them, I’ll need to go far away from all of you. When you get this letter, do not look for me. Just focus on raising your child and one day I hope you use my case to direct them well.I made a mistake and apologised for everything and I hope God will protect me wherever I go. I am sorry to everyone. Just know that it was not my fault or intention. I am going to face the world,” read the letter witnessed by TUKO.co.ke in part.

Oremo suspects that Jenny may have fled because of overwhelming guilt, exacerbated by her relatively short tenure in school.

“She was in Rang’ala Girls for two years before leaving for Mbaga and we never heard any misconduct report. I suppose she felt overwhelmed since she just joined the school this term and has already been found going against school rules,” stated Oremo.
