Gosh today was awful.
Just plain awful.
I wrote about it over at
Just an utterly miserable sunkInWahnessMood I was.
But!
During the day, I also managed to achieve:
Morning Really Weak Gymming!
I think I overdid it with strength training before…. so I simply did 15 minutes of biking at Planet Fitness. #WIN!
Then I indulged in:
Mama Bear Tum Yum Bacon soup!

I also took advantage of the 2 pounds of turkey burger meat that was half off…..
Marinated that during the previous night….
And created:
Mama Bear Bacon-Infused Turkey Burgers!
These weren’t cooked, mind you… and I have to write up the recipe as well!
But in a nutshell, it includes:
- Chopped onions or scallions
- Cilantro
- Soy sauce
- Steak seasonings
And I used the bacon drippings I sauteed them in.
End result? Family loved it! A definite win (and there was enough left over for dinner tomorrow).
Other things happened which resulted in:
“You never have to go hardcore at the gym, you never have to “crush it” … You just have to do the best you can. Even if it’s slower than a sleeping amoeba. #Growstrong“

Remember…
No matter how miserable you might feel….
You own those feelings.
You can choose to wallow in self-pity (and don’t knock that – I spent an hour or so thoroughly enjoying feeling sorry for myself)…..
And then, after that indulgence….
You can choose to let those feelngs go……
And then choose to do something, anything, that reinforces your love for yourself.
In my case, it was getting to the gym even if that workout was pretty weak indeed.
