🔥 Write part 1 of The Letter to your loved ones: I’ll Always Be In Your Hearts – Passing The Torch

Step 1 of Passing The Torch: Write part 1 of letter to your loved ones: I’ll Always Be In Your Hearts

plriiHello!

Today begins our series of “Passing The Torch” – how to ensure your business continues to run should you be smooshed by a low-flying asteroid.

And step 1 is:

Write part 1 of letter to your loved ones: I’ll Always Be In Your Hearts

In a nutshell:

Chances are that when you die… the first thing your family will NOT crave to do…

… is ensure your current business continues to work bring in cash!

Chances are the first thing that your family will want to do is ….

Grieve.

And nobody can tell them how long this grieving process will take.

Right?

‘Course right!

However, at *some* time… your family will have to face the fact you’re no longer around, and decide whether or not they want to keep your business running.

So your challenge is to make it as easy as possible for this to happen!

And to ensure they approach it with an open mind, you need to write a letter to speak to them from beyond the grave, so to say.

The letter can be broken up into 3 parts:

  • Reassure your loved ones of your devotion
  • Share where your passwords are kept
  • Ask them if they even want to keep your business going

Today, let’s discuss the first part of the letter:

Reassure your loved ones of your devotion

It makes sense, right?

Especially if your business can do them good…. you want them to approach it with an open mind.

So, start off by first writing to your loved ones…. all the wonderful things that made you love them beyond time and space.

Consider something like:

“Dear spouse,

If you’re reading this now, chances are, I’m kinda sorta no longer on this planet.

And you’re probably feeling pretty sad and miserable and missing me as much as I’m missing you!

There’s a couple of things I’d like to say, though.

From the first moment you walked into my life…. my life was blessed!

We had our moments of stress and pain…

Loving and laughter….

… and throughout it all, I always knew that no matter what….

… you’d always be by my side.

I love you.

I still do, now and forever, across time and space.

And rest assured at some time….

… We’ll see each other again.

But until then…

There’s things that need to be done.

To make it as easy as possible, I decided to make a single document that has all of my financial and personal information….”

See?

See how you don’t steamroller right into the, here’s how to keep things moving along, route….

You first give your loved ones an opportunity to grieve and think of you with smiles.

The next part of the letter will deal with exactly that particular file that you’re going to create…

…. in Step two.

See you then!
