INITIATIVE. 35 CANCER PATIENTS WERE PRE-SELECTED TO COME HERE AND BE PAMPERED. AS THE PATIENTS AND SURVIVORS FILED INTO THE RAVENS LOCKER ROOM AT T BANK STADIUM, RAVENS CHEERLEADERS WELCOMED THEM. MANY BECAME EMOTIONAL, OVERWHELMED THAT SOMEBODY WOULD CELEBRATE THEM. THIS WAY. I’M A TWO YEAR SURVIVOR, AND EVEN AFTER BEING TWO YEARS SURVIVOR AND ONLY A YEAR OUT FROM TREATMENT, YOU STILL STRUGGLE WITH SOME THINGS. BUT TO HAVE SOMEONE TO TREAT US WITH SO MUCH AND DO THIS FOR US, IT’S A BEAUTIFUL THING. THE EVENT PROVIDED CUSTOM FITTED WIGS, MAKEOVERS, MASSAGES AND A MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWER BOUQUET. THE SURVIVORS WERE ALSO TREATED TO SPECIAL SNACKS, INCLUDING MANY CRAB CAKES. THIS IS A DAY JUST TO BRING BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS TOGETHER. PAMPER THEM A LITTLE BIT. LET THEM KNOW THEY’RE NOT ALONE. TREAT THEM SPECIAL. SO WE’RE REALLY GRATEFUL TO THE RAVENS. RAVENS LIKE TAVIUS ROBINSON WERE AT THE EVENT TO SPREAD JOY. YOU KNOW, I WAS HERE LAST YEAR AND I GOT TO, YOU KNOW, MEET A LOT OF STRONG WOMEN. SO IT WAS JUST IT’S GREAT TO HAVE, YOU KNOW, CONVERSATIONS WITH THEM AND JUST TALK WITH THEM AND, YOU KNOW, SEE HOW STRONG THEY ARE AND HEAR THEIR STORIES. THE LADIES WERE EXCITED TO TAKE PICTURES WITH THE PLAYERS. OH, THIS WAS SO NICE TO HAVE THEM BE ABLE TO JUST RECOGNIZE US AND AND HAVE A DAY OF. WE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW OF PAMPERING. WE JUST THOUGHT WE WERE HERE FOR A TOUR TO BE TREATED, TO JUST NOT HAVE THE WORRIES AND HAVE SOMETHING NICE DONE. IT’S REALLY NICE. ANOTHER RAVENS IN OUR COMMUNITY EVENT IN THE BOOKS
