Kware: Prime suspect in Mukuru killings explained why he became serial killer
How did Kenyans react to Collins Jumaisi’s arrest?
The latest development in the Mukuru killings has made Kenyans doubt the conclusions reached by the DCI following the arrest of the main suspect.
Some Kenyans are questioning why it took so long to arrest the suspect, who started his killing spree with his wife, Imelda Khalenya, in 2022.
Here is how some Kenyans reacted:
Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris:
“As I try to find solace in knowing the serial killer has been arrested, I have many unanswered questions. Was the first victim who was the wife reported missing?”
The Camargo project:
“How did a serial killer manage to kill 42 women while stationed a little less than a km from a police station?”
Griffins Osiemo:
“He managed to kill 40-plus people with no commotion, no blood spills, and no alarm from all his victims. Huh, really?”

Beste:
“I am now wondering where the 42 women are. Does it mean they are part of the Kware murdered? If so, where are the others, around 31, dumped?”
Amwoga Khalwale:
“Even before you identify all the bodies, you already have a suspect.”
Axelis:
“I’m finding it hard to believe this as well. The suspect has sketchy backgrounds conveniently.”
Mburu:
“Was there evidence he was killing these people in his house as well? How was he able to dump all the bodies at the same time?”
Jumaisi was luring another woman called Susan
During Jumaisi’s interrogation, the detectives uncovered that he had intentions to kill another woman, identified as Susan, despite the ongoing investigation.
DCI boss Amin Mohamed stated that they have not yet identified Susan to hear her side of the story.
Speaking on behalf of the authorities, Mohamed condemned Jumaisi’s actions and called for calm during the ongoing investigation, which has profoundly impacted the nation.
