Living temporarily in paradise on a secluded island, the contestants of the American adaptation of the British reality competition series Love Island are brought together for a chance at winning $100,000. Referred to as Islanders, participants are placed in couples and attempt to build a relationship with their partner, with an opportunity to re-couple later in the show. Those who remain single when a coupling event occurs will be eliminated, as well as through a voting system or even flash elimination events as determined by the show’s producers. The public will ultimately vote and decide which couple will win the ultimate prize.
