FAQs
Does Etihad Airways offer digital boarding passes?
Customers don’t need to print out boarding passes, so long as they can present a digital version. You can access digital boarding passes by downloading the brand’s own app on a mobile device of your choice. However, if you prefer physical boarding passes, Etihad will still accept these too.
Is there an Etihad Airways app?
Yes, the Etihad Airways app is free to download from the Google Play and Apple App stores, and lets customers make & manage bookings, choose seats, and get flight updates in real time. App users will also get access to the newsletter deals, bringing exclusive & personalised offers, as well as destination guides to help you decide where to visit next.
Can I use Guest Miles to purchase flights?
Absolutely – Etihad customers accumulate air miles with every flight they purchase, and these miles can be put towards purchases for discounts as well as upgrades such as additional or improved seats. Air Miles are managed through the brand’s loyalty scheme, which you can join for free by signing into your account.
Can I cancel my Etihad Airways flight and get a refund?
Some flights are eligible for refunds. The airway operates a 24-hour cancellation policy on direct flights, giving you the freedom to cancel up to 24 hours before you’re due to fly. Whether or not your flight is eligible for a full refund will depend on the kind of fares you purchased, when you are cancelling, and whether or not part of your flight has already taken place. You can start the cancellation process online, by speaking to a travel agent or getting in touch with the airline’s customer service team.
Hints and Tips
Look for deals: The airline regularly offers deals on selected flights, bringing prices down by as much as £200. Although you won’t find deals on every destination all the time, keep an eye out as these are updated regularly.
Get a student discount: If you’re a student aged 18 – 32, you can verify with a valid student ID and a membership to the airlines’ loyalty scheme to get 10% off economy class or 5% off business class flights. Note that students cannot redeem this discount on any flights to countries they are not citizens or permanent residents of.
Join the loyalty scheme: Customers can sign up for the Etihad Airways loyalty scheme to start earning additional rewards when they purchase flights. With each purchase, you’ll earn Tier Miles, which act as points. Earn enough Tier Miles and you’ll move up tiers of the scheme. You’ll start on Bronze, before moving up to Silver and then Gold. Benefits get better as you move up, and include the likes of discounted flights (with Etihad and a number of partner airlines), as well as upgraded seats and add-ons such as car rental and hotels. Points can also be redeemed against items from the gift shop, including digital products, devices and discounts with high-street retailers.
Book ahead to save: Booking your flights in advance is often cheaper than leaving it last minute, but if you book a good while in advance, you can get significant savings on the price of your next journey. Plan your holidays as far ahead as you can for the best chance of low prices.
Join the newsletter: You can keep up to date with the latest deals from Etihad Airways by signing up to the newsletter. Just provide your chosen email address and you’ll receive regular emails so you never miss a chance to save again.

How we source coupon codes
Whether it’s through our affiliate networks, the depths of the world wide web, or our connections with big name brands, here at TechRadar we use every tool at our disposal to source the latest codes. Our coupons team updates each of our pages multiple times a week with the most recent deals, including exclusive coupons negotiated by our Commercial team. We also include the latest sales info directly from retailers to offer the most up-to-date discounts around.
How we test coupon codes
Each coupon you find on TechRadar has been tested before being uploaded by our dedicated Deals & Offers teams. You’ll see a range of offers, from free shipping to student discounts, with savings available on all kinds of products & services. To make sure every coupon is ready to use, we don’t list any user-specific or one-time codes.
We also include all relevant information about coupons, such as expiry dates and any terms & conditions, near the ‘Get Code’ button. You can see the details for an individual offer by clicking on the ‘Terms & Conditions’ text below the code and expanding the code area.
What to do if a coupon code doesn’t work
Although we do our best to ensure all listed codes are tried & tested, sometimes coupons expire or terms & conditions are changed before we can update pages. Our team works hard to make sure our coupons are active and work as intended, and should you encounter an issue when using one, we’ll work just as hard to help.
The best place to start is by checking the requirements. Click “View terms and conditions” to expand the code section and see any guidance on your chosen coupon. For example, you may need to meet a minimum spend, add other items to your basket to qualify for a multibuy offer, or confirm that your chosen code applies to the items in your basket (i.e. 10% off laptops).
If you’re still having issues using your code, you can email our customer service team on coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Include as many details as possible – such as which code you used and which coupon page it’s listed on so our team can address your issue as fast as possible.
How we make money
When it comes to coupons, TechRadar earns money via a commission-based model. For every brand we have a coupon page for, we’ve negotiated a deal that means we earn a percentage of total basket value in commission back from every order.
Using this model means we can offer our coupons to our customers free of charge. You won’t pay any fees to add your chosen coupon to your basket – you’ll simply pay the final order total once your discount has been applied.
