The anticipation is finally over as the curtains rise to unveil the finalists for MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s Mob-Ex Awards 2024, marking the commencement of yet another thrilling chapter in mobile marketing excellence. The list is now available for public viewing on the awards programme’s official website, heralding the advent of the 12th edition, with finalists hailing from diverse corners of Asia and Oceania.
Among the 40 categories open for submissions, spanning the realms of ‘Industry Specific Use of Mobile’ and ‘Channels & Initiatives,’ this year’s edition maintains several acclaimed categories while introducing three freshly-crafted ones: ‘Best Mobile AI and Chatbot Integration,’ ‘Best Mobile Storytelling Campaign,’ and ‘Best Mobile Viral Marketing Campaign.’
In addition to the array of categories, one agency and one brand stand poised for an unparalleled opportunity to soar to new heights by winning the esteemed title of ‘Mob-Ex Champion.’ This distinguished accolade will be bestowed upon the entrant whose submission earns the highest score among the victorious entries.
The meticulous evaluation of entries for the Mob-Ex Awards 2024 was entrusted to a panel of 32 seasoned marketing professionals hailing from various corners of the region.
Bipasha Minocha, group chief marketing officer of EtonHouse International Education Group compared reviewing the submissions to “jogging on an intellectual treadmill”. “I was genuinely blown away by the level of deep thinking and research poured into crafting the campaigns. They really nailed driving brand and category awareness in a fresh way,” she said.
“The submissions not only articulated the ‘why’ behind the brand but also showed how brands can shake things up and drive change. The inherent strengths of mobile and gaming were explored with a creative twist, a tribute to the ingenuity of marketeers to creatively problem solve and push boundaries,” said Minocha.
Caroline Wee, VP of brand and strategy, Loob Holding, also added that in today’s mobile-first, multiscreen world, attention is the most valuable and scarce currency. “Mob-Ex truly tests the mettle of marketers and brands who can not only capture but also retain consumer attention,” she said.
“It’s truly an honour to judge this year’s Mob-Ex Awards”, said Amiroel Shazrie Yussof, head of loyalty at Malaysia Airlines. “The entries and strategies presented were well crafted and it demonstrated the importance of mobile digital marketing that cuts across the regions. Brands are putting in a lot of effort in enhancing personalisation and customer engagement to achieve sales growth,” said Yussof.
The winners of the 12th annual Mob-Ex Awards will be announced at a live gala dinner and celebration in Singapore on the 18th of July 2024 at Shangri-La Singapore.
