Los Angeles City Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez invited residents and media to Council District 7’s annual Pet Resource Fair and Blessing of the Animals at Brand Park in Mission Hills.
The annual event held at Brand Park offered a one-stop-shop for pet owners, offering important services including vaccinations, registration, and licensing. The first 100 pets in attendance received free microchipping.
The event also featured pet adoptions, a petting zoo, and a jumper for children, culminating in a community “Blessing of the Animals” in partnership with El Pueblo de Los Angeles.
“Our pets are beloved members of our families, and ensuring residents have access to affordable care and resources is a top priority,” said Rodriguez. “This event not only provides vital health services like vaccinations and microchipping, but also celebrates the joy animals bring to our lives through the tradition of the Blessing of the Animals.”
