Adobe and TikTok have announced an exclusive integration that will make TikTok’s Commercial Music Library accessible within Adobe Express via the Symphony Assistant add-on. This collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of content creation on the popular social media platform, particularly for brands and businesses that rely on TikTok for marketing purposes.
The integration debuted at the Cannes Lions International Festival for Creativity, marking a significant development for Adobe Express users. Adobe Express is described as an all-in-one AI content creation app designed to simplify the process of ideating, designing, and sharing social media posts, videos, flyers, and logos. The application features Adobe Firefly Model 3, which ensures that all generated content is commercially safe.
TikTok’s Commercial Music Library consists of over a million songs and sounds that have been pre-cleared by TikTok for commercial use. This library is designed to help brands effortlessly find suitable music for their TikTok content, thereby enhancing their creative output. The inclusion of this music library within Adobe Express means that marketers and advertisers can now create, score, and publish TikTok content with greater speed and ease.
Govind Balakrishnan, SVP of Adobe Express and Creative Cloud Services, highlighted the importance of this integration. “For organisations that want to stay competitive, producing and publishing engaging social content quickly is critical, and on TikTok, music is a must,” he said. Balakrishnan further explained that Adobe Express features, powered by Adobe Firefly, generate stunning imagery rapidly and are designed to be commercially safe. “By making TikTok’s Commercial Music Library easily accessible within Adobe Express, we can now offer our customers an even easier and faster way of producing more effective TikTok content that works for their business.”
Andy Yang, Global Head of Creative Product at TikTok, also expressed excitement about the partnership. “Creativity is the core of TikTok. Content, communities, and cultures are all directly connected to, and built by, creativity on the platform,” he said. “We are continuously building and investing in creative solutions to help our brands be creative storytellers and connect with the TikTok community. We are excited to further expand our partnership with Adobe, giving brands the tools to soundtrack their TikTok content and create at scale.”
This is not the first collaboration between Adobe and TikTok. The two companies previously announced the Symphony Assistant, an AI-powered virtual assistant that helps users collaborate on both organic and paid creative content for TikTok. The latest update to the Symphony Assistant add-on will further enhance its capabilities by incorporating the TikTok Commercial Music Library.
Adobe Express users can now access thousands of professionally designed templates, Adobe Stock video clips, audio, and stickers to edit TikTok videos directly within the application. The Symphony Assistant add-on also aids users in ideating, exploring creative ideas, and refining their TikTok-first video content by offering insights, trends, and best practices. This ensures each post can reach the right audiences with greater impact. The integration enables marketers and advertisers to share optimised content directly to their TikTok Ads Manager account from Adobe Express.
As Adobe becomes a badged TikTok Marketing Partner, the partnership aims to leverage Adobe’s creative technology and TikTok’s digital expertise to help creators make and market content more effectively. This development underscores the growing importance of music in TikTok marketing. According to TikTok, 88% of its users consider sound essential in conveying brand identity and increasing purchase likelihood.
Starting today, both free and Premium Adobe Express customers can access the TikTok Commercial Music Library through the Symphony Assistant add-on in English, wherever TikTok is available. This initiative aims to provide brands with the tools they need to create impactful content rapidly and efficiently.
