Have you ever dealt with wanting to learn something new? But then you start agonizing over what happens if the learning doesn’t work out as you had hoped?
Welp, here’s my story: I’ve been using Midjourney to create AI images now for over a year and a half. I use it for all sorts of thingees: making friends smile, sales page graphics, quote ideas like:
and the like. The opportunities it offers folks who cannot draw a realistic stick-figure (like me!) are truly grand.
Now, one thing that Midjourney has incorporated is “Style References” or sref . Take any number from 1 to 10 billion and yep – that number will indicate an entirely different way to create images. Check out this example – I’m creating a coffeecup and the only thing I vary is the sref.
Isn’t that cool? And these srefs can be applied to anything you desire. There’s one sref that creates “Kawaii” (aka cute) images, another that makes 3d renders:
But here’s the truly awesome thing. Like I had mentioned, I’m pretty, errr, incompetent whenever doing anything art-wise… ‘matter of fact, I wouldn’t dare to “color outside the lines,” so to say.
However, simply “playing around” and not caring what other peoples thought enabled me to design images like:
Your takeaway (and yes, that IS SuperMoose)? You never *truly* know what you’re capable of until you actually sit down and *try*. Never hobble yourself with fear.
Who knows… You might end up surprising yourself!
