Chelsea Clinton, Ashley Graham and Arianna Huffington are among the high-profile figures set to speak at the inaugural Women in AI Summit, presented by ATTN: and The Female Quotient in New York, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Leading AI experts Allie K. Miller and Dr. Joy Buolamwini and New York’s first chief technology officer Minerva Tantoco will also participate in the half-day event that aims to bring together influential voices in AI, marketing, media and entertainment to discuss the future of the technology and its impact on women. Beyond that, the summit seeks to help close the gender gap in AI, where women currently only represent 26 percent of the global workforce, according to a 2020 World Economic Forum report, making sure that women are better represented in the industry and shaping how it evolves.

The Women in AI Summit — hosted in collaboration with Microsoft Advertising, HP Inc. and Amazon Web Services (AWS) — will take place on Nov. 13 from 1-6 p.m. ET at New York’s Webster Hall. The event will feature panel discussions on such topics as AI’s impact on storytelling, the role of AI for creators, the future of advertising and strategies for better investing in female leaders in AI; talks aimed at developing practical and equitable AI use-cases across industries; and networking opportunities.

ATTN:, the Candle Media-owned social media creative company, and The Female Quotient, an experience and media company working to advance gender equality in the workplace, are also launching a Women in AI Cohort, a six-month program for 10 up-and-coming leaders across marketing, media and entertainment who will learn how to use AI to elevate their work and careers.

“We are at the dawn of the AI revolution, and we have the unique opportunity to ensure that women are leaders in this space,” Female Quotient president Talia Bender Small said in a statement. “Putting women at the forefront of the conversation creates perspectives, prevents biased algorithms and upholds ethical standards — it isn’t about fairness — it’s a strategic imperative. We are proud to partner with ATTN: as we bring together transformative leaders and lead the charge in amplifying women’s voices in AI.”

ATTN: president Taryn Crouthers adds, “AI is transforming creative industries, with estimates showing that AI could create over 60 million new jobs by 2025. But to truly unlock its potential, women must play a key role in shaping the future. We’re honored to join forces with The FQ on our inaugural Women in AI Summit and Women in AI Cohort. This groundbreaking partnership is focused on equipping women across the marketing, media and entertainment industries with the knowledge and tools they need to lead in the AI revolution.”

The FQ and ATTN: have a larger partnership aimed at tackling workplace issues for women and closing the gender gap across industries.
