The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) has confirmed the participation of all six franchises and their respective ownership groups ahead of the league’s fifth season, marking a major step in its return to India’s professional sports calendar.
Sanctioned by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), the franchise-based competition will feature teams from Delhi, Haryana, Mumbai, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. The league is scheduled to resume in January 2026, following an extensive restructuring aimed at strengthening governance, commercial sustainability, and athlete development.
The confirmed franchises for Season Five include Delhi Dangal Warriors, Haryana Thunders, Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals, Maharashtra Kesari, Punjab Royals, and UP Dominators. Each team is backed by professionally managed ownership groups spanning enterprise, infrastructure, technology, and sports development.
Delhi Dangal Warriors will be owned by EaseMyTrip, led by Founder and Chairman Nishant Pitti, along with CEO and Co-Founder Rikant Pittie.
Haryana Thunders will be spearheaded by industrialist and philanthropist Vikas Parasrampuria.
Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals will operate under joint ownership between Aspect Group, through its sports vertical Aspect Sports, led by Aksha Kamboj, and the APCO Group under Anil Singh.

Collectively, the six franchises represent India’s strongest wrestling regions, combining deep-rooted sporting traditions with ownership groups focused on long-term investment, professional governance, and structured growth.
As part of its fifth-season relaunch, PWL has prioritised building a stable franchise ecosystem with owners capable of supporting grassroots pathways, elite competition, and commercial scale.
Welcoming the franchise line-up, Mr Akhil Gupta, CEO, PWL, said, “The upcoming season represents an important phase in the Pro Wrestling League’s evolution. With strong and diverse ownership across all six franchises, we are reinforcing our commitment to professionalism, structured development, and long-term growth. Together, we are building a league that places athletes at the centre and elevates Indian wrestling on the global stage.”
The Pro Wrestling League is set to return in January 2026, featuring leading Indian wrestlers alongside international talent. With a reimagined structure and renewed ownership framework, the league aims to position itself as a commercially viable, athlete-first platform capable of supporting wrestling’s growth in India over the long term.
