Multiple residents, pets rescued from SW OKC house fire

OKLAHOMA CITY –

Firefighters rescued several pets from a house fire Tuesday morning in southwest Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department says firefighters were called to a home just after 5 a.m. near Southwest 89th Street and South May Avenue.

After arriving at the scene, OKCFD says crews found three residents and 12 of their pets, with a fire located in the back of the home.

OKCFD says no injuries were reported, but firefighters gave multiple pets oxygen.

Crews say a majority of the home was saved, but some smoke damage was reported.
