The Riley County Police Department is investigating a scam reported Wednesday morning in Manhattan.
Officers filed the report around 11:41 a.m. Dec. 10. A 34-year-old woman told police she was targeted in a text and email scam that resulted in a loss of $9,500.
The case remains under investigation.
