Look at This Dog Mom’s Hilarious Method for Drying Her Four Golden Retrievers After a Storm

You know who loves a rainstorm? Your pups! Yep, dogs are big fans of the rain, but that does mean one teensy-tiny problem — the mud. There’s no doubt that if you let your dog go out they’ll leave a trail of muddy footprints in the house. One dog mom was determined to keep the mess out, and the way she kept her Golden Retrievers clean was too funny.

Sigh, it’s hard being the mom of Golden Retrievers. Sure, they’re so cute, but the clean up after a rainstorm can be so brutal.

That’s why the dog mom had to get organized. She had four adorable Goldens after all. The dogs were so patient while mom cleaned the three of them that were playing in the rain. She shared her brilliant method of getting each and every dog clean online.

The dog mom made her Golden Retrievers wait outside while she carefully pulled them in one-by-one. She had towels already lined up on the ground and everything. She wasn’t messing around!

“Just one. Just one!” she warned.

Miraculously, they listened! These are some Golden Retrievers who know how to listen to their human.

Commenters were amazed at the mom’s perseverance.

“If anyone on this app needs a Muddy Mat, it’s you Ma’am,” wrote one commenter.

“Four Golden Retrievers?! Omg you just vacuum all the time haha. They are adorable. I have one Bernese and her fluff is everywhere,” praised another person.

“Can confirm it’s exhausting. I don’t know how moms with multiples do it!” someone else gushed.

“In my house by the time I dried the fourth dog off they would all want back out again,” someone else admitted.

What to Do About Muddy Paws

This is one woman’s method for keeping her house clean from muddy paws, but there are some other tips and tricks out there.

First, you’ll want to have good indoor and outdoor mats. Muddy Mats can certainly help! You can also set up a paw washing station right outside your door, so that you can get those paws clean before your dogs come inside. Booties can also lend a big hand here!

Of course, you could also keep your dogs in during the rain. But where’s the fun in that?
