Geneva

Breed: Bulldog

Gender: Female

Weight: 54 pounds

Age: 1 year

Orphaned Since: July 29

Adoption Fee: $250

Geneva is the name of a city in Switzerland, New York and Illinois. There’s also a Geneva in Florida, not a city, but a female Bulldog at SPCA Florida. This awesome dog doesn’t realize she’s a big girl as she plops her body on a lap. She loves to run and tends to pull on her leash, an outward manifestation of her enthusiasm. Once she’s done romping around and blowing off steam, she’ll cuddle on the couch with her forever family. Tap into Geneva’s sweet nature and you’ll never need sugar. Enter SPCA Florida, not Geneva, into your GPS and follow the directions to meet this gray and white pooch.

Margarita

Breed: Bulldog

Gender: Female

Weight: 49 pounds

Age: 1 year

Orphaned Since: Aug. 18

Adoption Fee: $250

Mention Margarita, especially during Friday Happy Hour, and a tequila, lime juice and triple sec cocktail comes to mind. That said, Margarita, a year-old Bulldog, can provide 24/7 happy hours when her adopters take her home. She’s the consummate cuddler, thus an ideal sleepover candidate, a test drive of sorts, to see how she blends in with your family.  Margarita’s not interested in booze, just water, but loves treats. Are you ready to adopt this happy-go-lucky gal? Stop by soon to meet her.

Poppy

Breed: Domestic Shorthair

Gender: Female

Weight: 8 pounds

Age: 1 year

Orphaned Since: May 12

Adoption Fee: $75

Stop by SPCA Florida’s Linda’s Lovelies Cattery and you’re likely to witness a game of hide and seek with one of its residents, Poppy. She’s apt to dart between the scratch posts of a cat tree or find herself under a bench. Her green eyes, contrasted by her predominantly black fur, take in the big picture of the cattery’s dynamics. Take note: You can lure her into your lap with catnip or engage her in a one-on-one game of laser tag. Poppy’s shyness dissipates once you engage her in play time. Wave a wand and Poppy will be psyched for her trip home.

Dalek

Breed: Domestic Shorthair

Gender: Male

Weight: 7 pounds

Age: 6 months

Orphaned Since: April 24

Adoption Fee: $150

Meet Dalek, named after a fictional ET race of mutants. The ET mutants resemble salt shakers with lower body bumps but Dalek, the kitty, is black and white and definitely an earthling who’s hanging out at the Orlando Cat Café. This congenial-with-cats feline arrived in foster care weighing just two pounds. He’s battled parasites and survived the lime/sulfur dip treatment for ringworm. So, he’s taking a victory lap to celebrate his restored health and looks forward to share his love for his family. He’s waiting for you today.
