DALTON, Ga. — Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia criticized President Donald Trump during an interview with CNN Monday night, commenting on an AI photo posted to TRUTH Social that appeared to depict him as a Jesus-like figure.
The picture showed Trump wearing a red cloak with his hand over someone’s forehead, appearing to heal them. The post disappeared from Trump’s profile late Monday morning.
Green called the photo “blasphemous,” saying…
“As a Christian, I was very offended. And a doctor, President Trump is not a doctor, and that picture had him in a robe as Jesus is often portrayed with light coming out of his hands…”
President Trump told reporters Monday that the AI image was supposed to be a photo of him as a doctor healing people.
“I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor, and had to do with the Red Cross, as a Red Cross worker there, which we support,” Trump told reporters outside of the Oval Office.
But during her interview with CNN, Greene said the president should apologize.

“I think he should apologize, not act defensive. And many Christians across America and the world were very offended by that.”
