TRAVERSE CITY, Mich,. (WPBN/WGTU) – – The Cherryland Humane Society’s pet calendar contest is back for its third consecutive year, inviting pet owners to submit photos of their furry friends for a community voting competition.
All proceeds from the contest benefit the Cherryland Humane Society in Grand Traverse County.
Since its start, the fundraiser has raised over $24,000.
There is a $5 entry fee per photo, with each vote costing $1.
Naomi Pobuda, Cherryland Humane Society communications and marketing manager, and Amanda Lewis, pet photographer said, “It’s so much fun I’m so happy that it’s, that people like it and want to do it. And it’s the best way I know how to support Cherryland Humane Society and they’re incredible and they need help so as long as people want to participate I’ll keep running the contest. I know that everybody looks forward to it. We have people reaching out like when’s the calendar contest starting. They just love this so much like everybody gets really into it and that’s pretty exciting.”
The 13 pets with the most votes will be featured in the 2027 Cherryland Humane Society calendar.
