Chaddock to host AI and technology workshop

QUINCY (WGEM) – Chaddock Attachment and Trauma Services is hosting an all-day artificial intelligence and technology workshop for the community on March 25, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Dr. Debbie Reed Center for Excellence.

Guest presenters will speak about how AI can be used to enhance work and health. The workshop will also cover the legal, ethical and criminal realities of AI.

Matt Obert, president and CEO of Chaddock, said the event is aimed at helping the community understand how to use AI responsibly.

“We know that AI and technology can be used for a lot of good things, but there is also a lot of risk that can come with that, especially for children,” Obert said. “And so, we just wanna make sure that the community is educated about what AI is, and how to properly use it, so that it doesn’t impact our relationships negatively.”

Obert also said the rapid growth of AI makes community education a priority.

“AI continues to evolve rapidly, and the growth is tremendous in that,” Obert said. “And to make sure that we all have a great understanding of how to use it safely, ethically, and most effectively is really important for the entire community.”

The event has limited space and to attend you must purchase tickets in advance.
