Where Man Finds Dog After Making the Bed Melts Hearts: ‘Too Cute To Be Mad’

After spending time making the bed in the morning, a dog owner couldn’t believe the state it was in just moments later – and there was no denying who the culprit was.

Like most people, one of the first things Tommy Connor, 27, does in the morning is make the bed. He ensures all the sheets are neatly tucked and straightened out before starting his day, however his 5-year-old golden retriever and German shepherd mix, named Marlo, has other plans.

Connor, of Baltimore, Maryland, works remotely and told Newsweek that he’d gone downstairs for “maybe 30 minutes” before returning to the chaos. As he walked into his bedroom and noticed that the bed was unmade and in disarray, he began to question if he’d made it that morning after all.

However, then he spotted the wagging tail and the puppy eyes staring back at him from within the blanket.

“Marlo is notorious for wrecking up our made bed when we aren’t paying attention. He just goes crazy in it,” Connor said.

“When I initially saw Marlo, I was shocked. At first, I just thought it had been messed up by him and that was it, but then I saw him all wrapped up in it. It was too cute to be mad about.”

Indeed, Connor couldn’t resist capturing a video of the guilty culprit cocooned inside the bedding. He shared the clip on TikTok (@coldsmuckersuncrustable) and it’s gone viral with over 484,200 views and more than 144,200 likes at the time of writing.

Alongside the video, the caption jokes, “how can I be mad at that?”

For the most part, Connor tries to keep the bedroom door closed to prevent Marlo from going inside and causing mayhem. Unfortunately, he still manages to find his way in from time to time and unmakes the bed.

However, Connor said that he “doesn’t look this cute” when it happens usually.

“I did let him stay in the bed on this occasion – he deserved it. I can’t possibly touch something that cute,” Connor told Newsweek.

The online response to the video is beyond anything Connor expected. He never imagined so many people would see his golden retriever’s antics and generate such an overwhelmingly positive reaction.

While Connor hopes that Marlo will stop destroying the bedsheets someday, he still loves sharing his joyful personality with the world.

Connor continued: “I am glad everyone loves Marlo just as much as I do. He really has been an amazing animal to go through life with during these last with years.”

In just a matter of days, the viral TikTok video has amassed over 400 comments. Internet users are obsessed with Marlo’s commitment, as many people defended his mischievous behavior.

One comment reads: “Looks made to me.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “Dog: this is a perfectly made bed sir! Made all around me!”

While another person replied: “That’s a very good nest! Such talent!”
