COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The unofficial results are in for South-Western City School after a deep-fake AI video in the campaign caused controversy.
The three elected to the board of education are:
- Camille Peterson
- Chelsea Alkire
- Kelly Dillon
Peterson spoke with WSYX last week after the Republican-endorsed campaigns of Chris Boso, Steve Feucht, and Jason Gocha released a video featuring AI-generated footage of Peterson, Alkire, and Dillon—the Democrat-endorsed candidates.
“It’s not my voice … It’s just downright wrong,” Peterson said previously.
Boso defended the video as “lighthearted” and aimed at motivating voters.

“I stand by it,” he said prior to Election Day, emphasizing its role in highlighting the other candidates’ positions and encouraging voter turnout. Boso pointed out that the video clearly is labeled as AI to poke fun, saying truth, honesty, and transparency matter and were present in these situations.
