LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – A special technology summit wrapped up Friday in Lansing.
The Veterans Summit on AI took place at Peckham Incorporated.
Organizers say the initiative helps veterans and formerly incarcerated individuals accelerate their careers by learning how to ethically use digital tools.
“It depends on where you look at and how you look at A.I. It’s like, it’s evil or it’s great, right? And so, I wanted to bring a perspective of somewhere in the middle. We need to be ethically responsible. We need to understand how A.I. can work,” said James Bender of the Lansing Area Veterans Coalition.
Organizers targeted a diverse, multi-generational group of students and business owners for the forum.
The coalition hopes to expand these digital skill clinics to impoverished and military communities throughout the year.
