A video shows Lady, a Staffy and English Bulldog mix, being carried out of a garden pool by her family – only to jump straight back in.
Lady had been adopted just two weeks earlier.
Unaware that she could jump so high, the family let her out into the garden and were completely surprised when she leapt directly into the pool.
Each time the family tried to carry her out, she slipped from their grasp and raced around the side of the pool to jump back in.
Lady’s owner, from south east London, said: “We were so surprised when she jumped in but then became quite worried that she wouldn’t be able to get out by herself.
“It’s the first time she’d jumped in the pool and we didn’t expect her to be able to jump that high.
“But she seemed to enjoy being in the water.”
