Samsung is finally bringing some of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s new AI features to the Galaxy S26 lineup. One UI 9 Beta 7 adds My fanCam, Call brief, and other AI upgrades to the S26 lineup. Interestingly, the update also arrives just three days after Beta 6, suggesting that the company is finally laying the foundation for the stable version.

Galaxy S26 finally gets new AI features from the Fold 8 Ultra

Samsung shipped the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra with One UI 9 out of the box. Based on Android 17, the update introduced several new AI features. My FanCam is arguably the standout addition, allowing users to create new clips focused on a specific subject when editing videos featuring multiple people. The feature can automatically track the selected subject and generate clips in different aspect ratios optimized for various social media platforms.

Additionally, Samsung added Call Brief that surfaces relevant information during live calls, like some plans you discussed with the person earlier. Other notable additions include custom cards in Now Brief, enhanced Photo Assist, and a new home screen search bar.

While Samsung has rolled out multiple One UI 9 beta builds to the Galaxy S26 series since the launch of the new foldable, it omitted these AI features. The latest release finally brings them, suggesting that the company is done with bug fixes and optimizations. It may now be ready to deliver the full One UI 9 experience to the S26 lineup.

The timing of One UI 9 Beta 7 is perhaps more interesting than the features themselves. Samsung released the update just three days after Beta 6. That usually indicates that the company is getting closer to a final release. While we do not have official confirmation yet, these developments suggest the stable update isn’t too far off. It remains to be seen if there will be a One UI 9 Beta 8 as well.
