NEWTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) — Police in Newtown, Bucks County are warning the public about a scam.
They say someone is sending fake emails, claiming to be from the police department.
Police say the email claims you are under investigation, or there’s an outstanding warrant for your arrest.
The sender demands immediate payment to avoid arrest, and asks you for personal information.
Police are reminding people to never give out their personal information.
