Paradise Valley police Department and Town Manager warn against new scam emails

Paradise Valley police are warning residents about a phishing scam targeting people with pending Planning and Zoning Commission applications, according to the Town Manger’s Sept. 4 weekly update.

Fraudulent emails claim recipients must pay an, “Application approval and review fee” before their applications can be reviewed.

The Town Manager said in his Sept. 4 weekly update that the town will not request payments or sensitive information by email.

Residents who receive the messages should not click links or send money and should report the emails as phishing and contact police at 480-948-7418.
