Today’s Work from Home Humor: ☺
- My commute to work today was just awful. Floor between bedroom and office was really cold. ☺
One Tiny Win Challenge:
- Power Hours Beat Long Days. You do not need 8 hours. You need two focused ones. Set a timer. Go full beast mode. Then stop. The benefits? You have your Power Hour (maybe once in the morning, once in the evening), and then your “let’s go along at my normal rate” work stretches. See how it treats you today and if it’s positive, continue again tomorrow.
Today’s Musings
It’s Halloween! So let’s talk safety for the kids.
Keep the Kids Safe (and Spooky) This Halloween
Halloween is one of the best nights of the year—costumes, candy, chaos. But between the sugar highs and the dark streets, it is also prime time for safety slip-ups. So before your little monsters hit the streets, here’s how to keep the night fun and safe.
Top Tips for a Safe Halloween Night
-
Light them up. Add reflective tape, glow sticks, or clip-on LED lights. Black costumes vanish in the dark faster than chocolate in a kid’s pocket. Bright lights = fewer scares for you.
-
Stick together. No solo candy quests. Kids should travel in groups with a responsible adult. If they’re older, make sure everyone has a phone, a curfew, and a meeting point. Packs stay safer than lone ghouls.
-
Test the costume. Can your kid walk, see, and breathe in it? Masks fog up. Capes trip. Swords poke. Comfort beats “cool” every time.
-
Inspect the loot. Excited kids sneak bites on the go. Wait until you are home, dump it all out, and check for unwrapped or suspicious treats. Think of it as Candy Quality Control 101.
-
Street smarts save lives. Use sidewalks. Cross at corners. Drivers are distracted. Teach kids to make eye contact with drivers before crossing. Flashlights help too.
-
Keep your home hazard-free. Clear paths, light up walkways, and avoid decorations that trip tiny goblins. Scares should be fun—not medical.
Halloween is pure magic for kids, but only if it ends safely. A little prep means fewer worries and more giggles. So light them up, stick together, check the candy, and enjoy the night knowing your crew will make it home safe, happy, and sugar-sticky.
Your Takeaway?
Tonight can be a superb night of fun! Make sure it’s safe for any and all and never forget:
It’s the memories that such happiness creates that will make your children smile, decades from today.
Oh, and a new take…
Time For You To Own 2026!
Soon this year will be over. What will the 2026 version of you … be?

2026 really IS coming! So let’s talk about the actual *planning*.
Planning 2026 is not about dashboards or color-coded chaos, you now. It is about clarity and caffeine! One excellent tip: picture cleaning your digital attic. Then:
- Toss what drains you.
- Keep what thrills you.
- Pick one goal that sparks joy and chase it like it owes you rent.
We’re talking simpler, sharper, saner!
Now imagine next December. Picture the YOU who you will be then!
You, calm and cashing in. Work is flowing and life somehow just *feels* lighter. Look what’s different – No shiny distractions, just steady wins!
And here’s your opportunity: Write that vision where you will see it daily!
We’re talking you could use:
- Notepad
- Notepad++
- Google Docs
- Your Blog
etc.etc.etc. Let it guide every move. No apps. No noise. Just you, focused and fired up.
2026 is not waiting for plans – it is waiting for you!
