Meet Chance and Hemmi, this week’s CVAS pets of the week

Meet Chance and Hemmi, this week’s CVAS pets of the week. These are just two of the amazing animals residing at area animal shelters.

Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter  has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes. While Chance and Hemmi would like to meet you, check out all the other adorable animals available for adoption also. Go to this Animal Shelter link to see all their residents.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons, in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

Adoptions now take place by appointment only, and that has worked very well. Donors have also helped with supplies and money, something very necessary to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

Potential adopters can call 717-263-5791 For more information.

Chance

Chance was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He is an 8-month-old Dogo Argentino and will need someone that has knowledge of the breed. Chance is 80 pounds and does not like cats, so he will need a home without them. He is still very much a puppy and a big puppy at that; he will need someone that has the time and patience that goes into training a puppy. Chance will need an adult only home. Chance is a big guy and has the potential to be a wonderful companion with someone willing to put the time and work into his training. He has been working on some of his manners here at the shelter and is very motivated to please! Do you have the right spot for Chance? Hemmi

Hemmi is a handsome guy that took a little while to get used to shelter life. He arrived at the shelter matted and required a shave down. Hemmis is about 3 years old and loves getting attention and does not mind being brushed! Could this good looking guy be your new best friend?
