State Sen. Andrew Chesney is hosting a pet adoption fair Dec. 13 in Freeport.
The event is scheduled for noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Friends Forever Humane Society, 966 W. Rudy Road, according to a community announcement.
The fair will give residents an opportunity to meet adoptable pets, receive information on state programs and speak with Chesney.
A chance to meet pets in need of a home “This adoption fair is a simple way for people to meet pets in need of a forever home and learn more about the resources available in our community,” Chesney said in a statement. “I hope residents will stop by and find a new addition to their family.”
The pet adoption fair is open to the public.
