Maine is about to have new laws protecting Mainers from harmful artificial intelligence.
One categorizes non-consensual AI generated images and videos called “deepfakes” under Maine’s “revenge porn” statute.
The other bans companies from misleading customers into thinking AI chatbots are real people.
Both take effect later this year.
