How To Make Money Fast In Borderlands 4

How To Make Money Fast In Borderlands 4

Cash is plentiful in Borderlands 4 due to the lack of major money sinks, but it’s an important currency nonetheless. You’ll need millions in your Vault Hunter’s wallet to purchase any sweet items in vending machines or use the respec machine to reallocate your skills.

Even if you don’t need to burn through millions in this installment, it’s still wise to farm some cash when you start Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode to purchase items from Maurice’s shop or any vending machine that happens to have Legendaries in stock. These are the best strategies we’ve found for getting your digital money up.

Farm Drill Sites

A decent way to earn some extra cash early on is to farm Drill Site encounters in the open world. These are small encampments that feature a short platforming section and a subsequent boss fight. They’re fairly easy to complete and award a decent amount of money.

Bosses at each Drill Site also have unique drop tables, which means you can farm for specific Legendaries if needed. For example, the Tendercage’s Drill Site’s boss, Pango Bango, can drop the Phantom Flame revolver. Farm a site with a Legendary pool you’re interested in, and sell the rest of the drops for some spare cash.

Sell Unused Gear

Speaking of selling items, by far the best way to earn money in Borderlands 4 is to vendor every spare gun you find. Items of Epic and Legendary quality are worth a significant amount of money at higher levels and can single-handedly raise your cash wallet to the millions.

The best way to sell items quickly is to farm any boss beside a Moxxi’s Big Encore station. Nearly every boss in Borderlands 4 is farmable this way, so take your pick. We suggest bosses from Drill Sites or side quest content, as they tend to have few immunity phases and tons of adds in the fight. Be sure to loot your drops as junk to auto-vendor them at any vending machine. You’ll rack up millions in an hour.

Complete Bounties

If you want to spice up your farming strategy or need to boost your character’s level, look no further than Vile Bounties at any bounty board. You can find these at any Stronghold upon beating the campaign. These bounties will be purple or orange rarity, and they’ll award significantly more XP and cash than your typical bounty. Grab the bounty, assassinate the target marked on your map, and you’ll get a small cash payout and an absurd amount of XP.

While the cash payouts from these bounties aren’t the best, it’s arguably the best source of XP for solo players currently. Rewards scale with your level, so the XP gains will always be consistent with your level. The cash payout isn’t bad either, although it pales in comparison to selling weapons from boss farming.
