Fractional marketing consultancy Gunther Consulting has announced an expansion to its agency offering unveiling a suite of new, go-to-market modular services, a refreshed visual identity, and a dedicated Personal Branding pathway for creative leaders. The expanded offering reflects 18 months of market signals from agencies and creative leaders alike.
The expanded service suite includes The Agency Marketing Sprint – a half-day workshop with a 30-day go-to-market playbook – alongside 1:1 Marketing Strategy Calls, a productised Awards Strategy offer, a bespoke Dashboard & Reporting build, and access to the GC Network of vetted freelancers.
“Time is the biggest barrier to agencies marketing themselves – ahead of budget,” says Founder of GC, Kathleen Gunther (pictured above). “Even when agencies sign on for ongoing services, they can go underground the moment a pitch lands. The relentless pitching cycle means agencies need to be new business ready, for themselves as much as their clients. We had to build products that meet them where they actually are.”
The new modular services also address a more structural reality: strategy alone, however well-crafted, can gather dust in a drawer when there isn’t the time or budget to execute it.
Says Gunther: “The new services are designed to be acted on, not just admired. A 30-day playbook, a single strategy call, a focused awards push create momentum on their own terms, without an agency needing to commit to a full retainer upfront.”
Founded in October 2024 by marketing strategist Kathleen Gunther, the consultancy has spent its first 18 months working closely with agencies on their own brand. The insight from that time has reshaped how the offer is structured.
Gunther Consulting has also opened a new pathway, Personal Branding for Creatives, in response to a broader shift toward human-led content. Organic reach for LinkedIn company pages has dropped to around 1.6% of followers, while personal profiles now dominate roughly 62% of the average feed.
Says Gunther: “Leaders can’t hide behind their agency brand anymore, people buy people. With the rise of AI threatening to make everything even more beige than it is, agency and creative leaders need to come out of the shadows.
“Personal brand isn’t a vanity project. In 2026, it’s a business reality and my new offer is built on the methodology I’ve spent the last 18 months applying to my own brand.”
Gunther leaned on her own network of freelance specialists – practising what she preaches – to build the expanded offer.
Says Gunther: “I couldn’t have built this alone, and neither should agency leaders. The village mentality is the future of agency marketing, pulling in the right specialists when you need them, not carrying everything yourself.”
Gunther Consulting has worked with agencies including Weave, Chook Digital, Marilyn and Sons, The Fuel Agency and DDSN Interactive, with new clients joining the roster, including Stake Reputation and The Digital Picnic.
Kathleen Gunther’s previous work has contributed to nine Agency of the Year Awards and an ABA 100 Award for Business Excellence.
