Meet Mookie, a 1-year-old female Pit Mix weighing about 44 lbs. This sweet girl was found roaming the streets of Lubbock, just like many of our shelter dogs. Since arriving, Mookie has shown us just how special she truly is.
Mookie is a goofy, sweet, and funny girl who wants nothing more than to play and be the center of attention. She loves being around people and thrives on love and companionship. If there’s excitement happening, Mookie wants to be right in the middle of it—she’s definitely the type who likes to know all the “tea” and be part of everyone’s business!
She does great with other animals, enjoys meeting people of all ages, and has wonderful manners. Mookie is the kind of dog who would absolutely throw the best parties for all her friends and family—she’s social, loving, and full of personality.
Mookie is up to date on all of her vaccinations, has been microchipped, spayed, treated for flea and tick prevention, and dewormed—she’s ready to go home with her forever family.
This sweet girl has been patiently waiting for her second chance since December 6, 2025. Could Mookie be your new best friend?
