Bradford, N.Y. — Four people are facing charges following an animal cruelty investigation in Steuben County.

11 dogs and four cats that were in dire need of medical attention were seized Tuesday from a home on County Route 17 in Bradford, where the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant after receiving an animal cruelty report, according to the sheriff’s office.

The four residents of the home — Steven Button, 41, Chance Gilbert, 29, April Culbertson, 39 and Jasmine Randall, 24 — were arrested and each charged with 11 counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance, the sheriff’s office said.

Culbertson was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, according to the sheriff’s office.
