Celina lands pro sports team

Rapid population growth in a suburb 40 miles north of downtown Dallas has propelled a local entrepreneur to kickstart plans for the city’s own professional sports franchise. The soccer club is backed by the the same ownership group behind Texoma FC, which plays at Bearcat Stadium in Sherman.
