Animal Shelter Report: Here are the Pets of the Week: Enzo and Svetlana!

Professional goofball, Enzo, reporting for duty
If they gave out awards for sheer silliness, Enzo would clinch the gold! At 16 months old, this handsome pitbull mix is 40 pounds of loving goof. A natural extrovert, he’ll do anything to wiggle his way into the hearts of every new human he might meet — and we really mean wiggle, with his whole body, snout to tail!
Enzo is wonderful on a leash, but best kept separate from other dogs. He’s an affectionate boy who’ll take all the scritches and lovin’s he can get! And don’t worry, he’ll let you know when he wants them — Enzo is a smooth talker, with a whole repertoire of song, debate and sheer alien gibbering that sends our staff rolling on the floor in laughter.
Are you ready to be his forever partner for his comedy act? Set up an appointment to meet Enzo!
The velvet princess, Svetlana, searching for her castle
Roll out the red carpet; Svetlana has arrived! She might be royal to the core, but this vivacious one-year-old isn’t a damsel awaiting rescue. She’s a born adventurer, ready to explore every nook and cranny for bugs and invisible monsters in need of slaying.
Svetlana doesn’t ask for what she wants; she decrees. It’s unthinkable that she should be picked up without her permission — let the princess decide when it’s time for cuddles, and then you’ll find no cat more loving! When she calls for games and play, she’ll dazzle you with her acrobatics and endless energy.
Sadly though, this blue-blooded beauty won’t deign to share her life with peasants (aka with other cats); she should be the only cat in her new home. A home with older children might be ideal, who can understand her boundaries but also romp around and play with her to their heart’s content!

Our 2026 kittens are growing fast and need your help
We are asking for donations of specific kitten foods: Purina Kitten Chow and Fancy Feast Kitten food. (Sudden food changes can be hard for kittens, especially the youngest babies and those recovering from illness!)
If you’d like to help, donations can be dropped off at the shelter from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, or you can order from our Amazon wishlist list to ship straight to our door: a.co/08aAeSAH
Thank you for always showing up for our “Mama Cat’s Last Litter” cats and their kittens. We truly couldn’t do this without you.
