Some animals are just full of surprises, like @thebrayleyfamily’s Valais Blacknose sheep, who acts more like a dog than a sheep. The family says their fur baby, Moosie, has won everyone over with his dog-like behavior, and people can’t get enough of the cuteness!
Watch on as the family shares a video full of examples of why their sheep thinks he’s a dog. The family even admits it’s their bad, writing on the video’s overlay, “They forgot to tell you you’re a sheep”!
Now we all want a Valais Blacknose sheep of our own! And yes, the Brayleys were right that Moosie is a lot like a dog. Peeking over the fence, hopping on the couch for cuddle time, napping outside the door so nobody can sneak past them, adorable zoomies, and, of course, being in the kitchen whenever mom or dad is trying to prepare a meal!
We cracked up in the video’s caption when they said, “We thought he might get a bit more ‘sheep’ as he got older… apparently not LOL!”

Commenter Reactions to Moosie the Sheep (Who Thinks He’s a Dog)
Commenters had some funny things to say about Moosie not being a dog. @vincenz wondered, “How is that not a dog?!” One commenter replied back jokingly, “Definitely a sheepdoodle!” @Iloversmith agreed, “That’s a dog, I don’t care what the DNA test says.” @eskoe.prime added, “Being Dog is a state of mind…”
Viewer @sister.pollys.sunday.school. made us laugh with, “It would be super funny if you took him to a groomer and waited to see how long it took for them to figure out it’s a sheep in there!”
@thatgoatmama shared, “So I have a house goat that is turning 9 months old, after seeing this video I think I can safely say she is officially and will always be a house goat because she doesn’t know what she identifies as and there doesn’t seem to be hope!”
Of course, there’s always at least one negative commenter in the group. @smalls61356 shouted, “FARM ANIMALS BELONG IN THE BARN”. As you can imagine, this went over like a lead balloon, and commenters wasted no time responding.
One commenter said, “Like you, Cheryl. Back into the barn with you,” while another simply put a comment full of eye-rolling emojis. @lui just laughed and said, “Karen. The animal seems rather very happy.”
@era.vintageco cracked us up when they asked, “Cheryl, and I mean this in the rudest way possible, not one person on Instagram cares what you think.” @gracelynnfamous had our favorite comment and asked what we were all thinking, “How are you so bitter after seeing this?!??” We agree! This video was the sweetest thing we’ve seen this week!
