Age: Carter is a 4 year-old male boxer/mastiff mix.
Personality: Calm, inquisitive, social, laid back.
Highlights: This medium energy pup is playful, people-oriented, and loves being included in all the activities of his favorite people.
Carter knows basic cues like “sit” and “roll over,” walks politely on leash, and is a pro at catching treats mid-air. Snacks are the way to his heart and a great way to bond and expand upon his current tricks.
Carter has lived with other dogs before and would need to meet any dogs in the home prior to adoption. Carter’s love language is physical touch and he can’t wait to receive endless pets, scratches and cuddles.
Availability: Carter is available at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., Phoenix. The shelter is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and noon – 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
