Ever since I came across Midjourney srefs, I’ve been having a blast figuring out which srefs were the best, which differed from V 6.1 (answer – all) and of course, since my branding is basically ‘coffee’, I’d use ‘coffeecups’ as my main prompt.
Let me tell you, you can view and learn a whole bunch by simply using prompts like, say:
coffeecup –ar 16:9 –sref 770770
and then simply adding 1 to the sref to see how it changes.
Another cool thing is to add
-s 1000
to your prompts – that the max stylize one can use.
For example, compare the following 2 coffeecups. The first does NOT use -s 1000 but the next does.
sref used is –sref 3024327 –v 6.1
Whenever I remember, I will go thru 10 prompts sequentially, just to see what comes out.
srefs that I have uncovered include a:
Circus train –sref 873418589 (kinda sorta? To see that, you need to include a truck or train). The first example will be the massive prompt I used when playing around, followed by just a coffeecup and then some interesting additions.
Scary-kinda –sref 444442
Copper reflective –sref 444447
And here is an undeniably creepy sref: –sref 2310525443, v 6.1, like, do not use unless you can handle extreme… creepiness. Luckily, the coffeecups are vaguely ok.
red white and blue maybe? –sref 121212126
and my utter fav, with either v6 or v 6.1 – elegant blue and silver. Interestingly enough, v7 totally remove that, and it now shows a plethora of colors. That sref is –8582 .
And did you know you can combine srefs? One of my fav combo in V6.1 is 8582 (blue/silver) and 111111 (all gold).
and if you add a –s 1000, you get:
Cool stuff!
Feeling bummed by the fact your images always are shown at a reaaaally weird angle? Use these words in your descriptions
no perspective, no angle
and you can also tack on a – no angle OR a – no perspective … not both, I believe.
Your takeaway? If you’re using an AI the offers changes every time you increment a number (like srefs), using your brand identity (mine is ‘coffee’) makes for an easy way to learn quickly as to what you like best.
‘course, you can also simply search for
midjourney srefs
and that will probably help as well.
2026 is coming – let’s make the most of it, shall we?
Enjoy!
