Pinterest names Julie Henderson as Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, effective 13 July. Henderson shared the appointment through a LinkedIn post.
Henderson brings more than 30 years of experience in corporate communications, having advised leading technology and media companies through periods of growth, transformation, and strategic change.
In her new position, she will oversee Pinterest’s global communications function, covering corporate, product, policy, financial, consumer, international, and internal communications. She will report to Claudine Cheever and work closely with Bill Ready.
Most recently, Henderson served as Chief Communications Officer at Snap Inc., where she was part of the executive leadership team and led the company’s global communications strategy.
Before joining Snap, Henderson was Chief Communications Officer at 21st Century Fox. She previously held the same role at News Corp. Across both organisations, she advised senior leadership on major business transformations, strategic transactions, and policy and regulatory matters.
Earlier in her career, Henderson held leadership roles in communications and corporate strategy at News Corp. She also led the digital practice at MPRM Public Relations, where she advised technology entrepreneurs, startups, and established media companies as they navigated the rapidly evolving digital media landscape.
