Cats are not only the winners of our hearts, but they’re also taking home the gold in hissterical cat comedy.
One of the things we love most about cat memes is their purrfect versatility. You can Photoshop a cat into nearly any scenario and it makes is instantly more hilarious. Adding a cat to a picture of someone skydiving? Giggle-worthy. Editing a smol kitten driving your Uber? Ridiculously silly. And adding cats to the winter Olympics? Certainly worthy of purrfect 10s!
People don’t necessarily associate cats with the Olympics, but that’s what makes it so funny. Imagine a cat on a curling stone, a cat sleeping like they’re racing down the luge track, and even cats winning gold medals in sports that don’t exist (but if they did, a cat would certainly win them). The best part is, you don’t even have to be following the games to necessarily understand what’s going on. All these fluffy feline memes are pawsitively purrfect with nothing more than a love for cats and all the chaos that comes with them.

We would be amiss if we didn’t highlight this year’s actual cat call-out in the Olympics, when Ilia Malinin, a gold medalist figure skater for the USA, took some cute pictures of one of his cats wearing a gold medal. Known more famously as the “quad god”, but to us, he’s just a cat dad who loves his fluffy felines like the rest of us. And when we say fluffy, we really mean fluffy. They’re both ragdoll cats with just as much purrsonality as they have floof. His cats, Mysti and Miu Miu, are not only adorable, but also his biggest fans.
The Olympics are great! Some of those competitions take so long you can actually take multiple naps on the couch while they’re on!

A sport our cats would win the gold medal for in the Olympics would be “artistic sleeping”. The amount of times we’ve found them sleeping in ways that we were sure they were broken has been far too many. We would get close to inspect, careful not to move them if they were injured, only to discover that they were snoring away, sometimes even purring. At first, it scared us, but now we’re used to it.
