The City of La Vergne is warning residents about a fraudulent email being sent to members of the public from a compromised account.
The city says the message appears to come from Julie Wilson with the City of La Vergne but is not legitimate.
Residents are urged not to respond to the email, click any links or open any attachments included in the message.
The city said it is working to address the issue and encouraged anyone who receives the email to delete it immediately.
