This Dog Parent Almost Lost His Pomeranian to a Wind Tunnel, and It’s Hilarious

Being a Pomeranian can’t be easy. While many underestimate them because of their small size, they also have to deal with the abundance of fur that they carry. For Keanu, a Pomeranian with his own YouTube channel (@Keanuthepompom), both of these factors seemed to work against him when dealing with the gusts of wind in New York.

In a flashback video from his human, Keanu can be seen navigating the streets of New York. Although the city is typically called the “concrete jungle” because of its immense skyscrapers, these gusts made it feel a lot more like a wind tunnel. Unable to put up much of a fight against the powerful gusts, Keanu tried his hardest to avoid getting blown away by the wind. Although we are very glad that he didn’t actually get swept off of his feet (or paws), we have to admit, the entire ordeal is pretty funny.

“Keanu almost went to Oz.”

Almost like something straight out of the movies, Keanu the Pomeranian was quite literally almost swept off the ground during a powerful wind in the city. Thankfully, the pup was firmly held by his harness and leash, or else he would’ve been in quite the problem.

With such a small body and plenty of fur, there was little Keanu could do to put up a defense against the gust. The only thing he could do was stand firm on the ground and take the wind on like a champ. Although we don’t think Keanu would’ve actually blown away, we are glad that he did his very best to stay confident.

In the comments, users found the entire situation too funny, and some were even reminded of Toto from “The Wizard of Oz.”

“Keanu almost went to Oz,” one user joked.

Another added, “That is a wide stance, my guy! Nobody’s going to knock you down!”

“But he stands his ground with so much confidence awwwww like ‘I got this wind I am all fluff, but I will not go down’,” another mentioned.

Others couldn’t help but relate to Keanu’s terrible situation: “I’ve always been on the smaller side, and there were times the wind would genuinely nearly knock me down in Seattle,” someone else wrote. Well, at least Keanu isn’t alone.

Standing firmly on the ground with all four paws, there was no way this gust was going to overpower Keanu. However, we are glad that his pet parent had a firm hold on his leash, just in case.
