Pinterest has introduced new AI-powered shopping tools aimed at helping retailers manage product catalogues and shopping campaigns across multiple international markets.
The update allows retailers to upload their full product catalogue to Pinterest, enabling the platform’s AI-powered visual search to surface relevant products to users. The platform supports different catalogue structures, including separate country-specific feeds or a single primary catalogue with supplemental country and language feeds.
According to Pinterest, country-specific supplemental feeds can localise prices and currencies, while language feeds translate product titles and descriptions. Retailers can also choose to maintain separate primary feeds for individual markets where assortments, pricing or merchandising strategies differ.
For retailers without localised product feeds, Pinterest said it can automatically translate product titles and descriptions and convert prices into local currencies when a new destination market is selected. The feature is designed to simplify expansion into new markets without requiring separate localisation work.
The platform has also introduced multi-country shopping campaigns, allowing retailers to run a single campaign or ad group across several markets. It automatically displays the appropriate localised products for each market from the retailer’s catalogue.
Advertisers can group markets with similar pricing and purchasing behaviour to improve campaign optimisation. Retailers that prefer separate budgets for each market can continue to run individual campaigns while using the same localised catalogue.
The multi-country campaign setup is intended to reduce the need to manage multiple similar campaigns while providing more data to improve campaign performance, particularly in smaller markets.
The company also announced a new Markets view in Catalogues, which is expected to be introduced soon. The feature will provide a single dashboard where retailers can view active shopping campaigns by market, track engagement through impressions and Pin clicks, add new destination markets, enable automatic translation and currency conversion, and identify markets showing increased activity.
