Meet Hattie and Cosmo, this week’s CVAS pets of the week. These are just two of the amazing animals residing at area animal shelters.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons, in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.
Adoptions now take place by appointment only, and that has worked very well. Donors have also helped with supplies and money, something very necessary to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

Hattie
Hattie was surrendered to the shelter when she was not getting along with the other animals in the home. She is a 1-year-old Standard poodle who will need a a home where she will be the only pet as she does not care for other dogs and cannot be around cats due to a high prey drive. Hattie will need someone that is able to keep her well-groomed to prevent matting. She can be a little shy with new people at first but does warm up with time and treats! Cosmo
Cosmo came into the shelter as a stray and we think he is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky mix because of his amazing blue eyes. He is an active guy that would flourish in an active home. Cosmo does know sit and will give his paw! He must meet all family members that reside in the home. Could you have the right spot for Cosmo?
