New AI-powered inventory tool – Plant & Works Engineering

Limble has announced it has released a new AI-powered tool called Smart Parts that helps maintenance teams instantly turn purchase orders, invoices, parts lists, and even photos into inventory records, eliminating hours of manual data entry.

For maintenance teams, inventory data is often one of the biggest bottlenecks to CMMS adoption. Technicians frequently spend valuable time copying information from supplier documents into inventory systems, increasing the risk of errors and incomplete records. Limble says its Smart Parts replaces that process with a simple document upload and review workflow, automatically extracting part names, part numbers, quantities, and pricing from invoices, purchase orders, and parts lists. This way, teams can add multiple inventory items in minutes instead of manually entering each item.

Smart Parts is a tool Limble customers wanted in addition to Asset Snap, which launched earlier this year as part of Limble’s Winter Release. Asset Snap also uses AI to automatically capture and create asset records from photos and documents, and Limble’s Smart Parts takes that convenience a step further for technicians, facility professionals, and maintenance teams by applying the same AI-powered experience to parts inventory management. The new feature is especially valuable when:

  • Processing large shipments with dozens of parts;
  • Setting up inventory for the first time;
  • Expanding or cleaning up existing parts databases;
  • Getting critical parts entered quickly so technicians can stay focused on maintenance work.

Together, Asset Snap and Smart Parts represent Limble’s broader investment in AI-powered data capture tools that help maintenance teams build cleaner, more complete records with less effort. Smart Parts is available now in the Limble web app — read more here: https://limble.com/news/smart-parts
