JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) – If you have received emails from the City of Janesville, you might want to take a second look at the sender.
Janesville Police have noticed a rise in scams that look like they are from the city.
The messages are often from email addresses that are very similar to the City of Janesville addresses.
They could have fake invoices or documents to update payment information.
If you think you were part of the scam, contact Janesville Police at their non-emergency number.
