If there’s one thing that’s always been true about Taylor Swift’s fans, it’s that they take being a Swiftie quite seriously. From spending hundreds on Eras Tour tickets to following the singer’s Easter eggs to decipher album release dates, Swift’s fans aren’t playing around when it comes to their favorite singer.
So, of course, it’s perhaps no surprise that her fans have taken Swift’s wedding to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce seriously, too. According to the New York Times, speculation over the couple’s upcoming nuptials has become a major betting market in the past few weeks.

On the betting app Kalshi, for instance, there are reportedly over $2 million worth of bets related to the wedding, $1.49 million on the location alone. With such high numbers, the speculation over the couple’s wedding venue has risen to the top 5% of markets on the site. New York is the current front-runner, and Pennsylvania and Tennessee are at distant 2% odds.
On Polymarket, bets are focused on Swift and Kelce’s star-studded guest list, including bets that Swift’s best friend Selena Gomez, Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes and singer Gracie Abrams will all be there.

“Fans have always tried to predict what happens next,” Clarissa Bronfman, a spokeswoman for Kalshi, wrote in a statement to the New York Times. “In many ways, prediction markets are becoming another layer of fandom and expression for the superfan.”
As a reminder, talk about where Swift and Kelce will be married has been a hot-button topic since last year.
Back in December, it was widely reported that Swift and Kelce’s wedding would take place in Rhode Island, where the singer owns a home. Page Six reported in June that the couple planned to wed on June 13 at Ocean House, a luxury venue in Watch Hill.
Most recently, however, Page Six and TMZ reported on June 5 that Madison Square Garden will be the location of the wedding of the year, noting that there are no scheduled events at MSG from June 29 through July 6.

Since then, however, a source spoke to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack and shut down the Madison Square Garden rumors. “A wedding at Madison Square Garden feels like a production,” the source said. “Not a wedding.” Instead, the rumors are likely planted to throw people off the scent. “Most people I know think it’s a decoy,” said one source. “The theory is guests will be told to meet at MSG, then they’re put on buses and taken somewhere else.”
Swift and Kelce, who have been together since the summer of 2023, got engaged in August 2025. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.
